Kallol Basu has taken on a new role as Divisional CIO at ITC Corporate at ITC Limited, where he will be responsible for running and transforming IT across multiple corporate functions. In this role, he will oversee enterprise technology strategy, operational stability, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives supporting ITC’s corporate businesses.
In his new mandate, Kallol will focus on both “run” and “change” agendas—ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable IT operations while driving modernization across platforms, applications, and enterprise architecture. His responsibilities span IT governance, vendor and budget management, service integration, and aligning technology initiatives with evolving business priorities across ITC’s corporate departments.
Prior to joining ITC, Kallol served as Chief Technology Officer at a leading Indian PSU general insurance company, where he led enterprise-wide technology transformation programs. His work included defining technology roadmaps, designing high-level enterprise architecture, modernizing legacy systems, and identifying innovation opportunities aligned with regulatory and business requirements.
Earlier, he held senior leadership roles at Cognizant as Senior Director and Global Solution Architecture Head for India and the Middle East, as well as Director and APAC Solutions Leader. In these positions, he drove strategic consulting engagements, digital innovation initiatives, and complex transformation programs across Asia Pacific and Middle East markets, working closely with CXOs on large-scale enterprise and digital initiatives.
Kallol’s career also includes leadership roles at Accenture as Application Outsourcing Capability Lead and Vice President, where he contributed to global application services strategy, delivery innovation, and consulting, and a long tenure at Tata Consultancy Services, where he led the Oracle Practice for APAC and delivered major ERP and enterprise transformation programs for global clients.
With extensive experience across enterprise IT leadership, consulting, and digital transformation, Kallol Basu’s appointment reflects ITC’s continued focus on strengthening its corporate technology foundation while enabling agility, innovation, and long-term business growth.
