Reema Jain has stepped into the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Unilever, marking a significant milestone in her global technology leadership journey.
Based in Bengaluru, Reema will lead Unilever’s global technology agenda, driving enterprise architecture, digital transformation, and innovation across markets. She currently also serves as Site Lead for Unilever’s Global Capability Center (India), reinforcing the company’s strategic focus on India as a digital and technology hub.
Prior to this elevation, she was Global Vice President – Digital Technology at Unilever, where she led Technology Foundation and Enterprise Architecture globally. Over her earlier tenure at Unilever, she held multiple leadership roles including IT Director – Digital Supply Chain, IT Director – Digital Integration, and IT Director – ERP Application Management, driving SAP core transformation, API-first integration platforms, and large-scale digital supply chain initiatives.
Before rejoining Unilever in 2019, Reema served as Chief Information & Digital Officer at Hero MotoCorp, where she spearheaded enterprise-wide digital transformation across R&D, supply chain, marketing, and customer engagement. She built digital capabilities spanning data science, cloud, cybersecurity, connected platforms, and martech, while launching key initiatives such as direct-to-customer platforms and digital finance aggregation.
She also held the role of Chief Digital Officer at Vodafone Idea Limited, leading the organization’s transition from Telco to TechCo through strategic digital transformation initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Reema spent over 13 years at GE, where she led large-scale ERP transformations, operational excellence programs, and Lean Six Sigma initiatives across multi-billion-dollar business units.
With more than two decades of experience spanning enterprise technology, digital transformation, ERP modernization, and global platform strategy, Reema Jain’s appointment as CIO underscores Unilever’s commitment to building a resilient, future-ready digital enterprise.
