PropertyGuru Group, Southeast Asia’s leading proptech company, has announced the appointment of Krishna Pandey as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Pandey brings over 18 years of specialized experience in cybersecurity leadership, cloud security, and AI-driven defense strategies to the Group.
Pandey joins PropertyGuru at a pivotal time as the company continues to scale its digital ecosystem. He will be responsible for overseeing the Group’s global information security strategy, ensuring the integrity of its data assets, and strengthening its defensive posture against emerging digital threats.
A Distinguished Career in Cybersecurity
Prior to joining PropertyGuru, Pandey served as Senior Director of Cybersecurity at Xerox, where he led global operations for multiple security divisions, including AI Security, Cloud Security, and Offensive Security. During his tenure at Xerox, he was instrumental in rolling out strategic AI security frameworks and achieving near-immediate remediation for critical cloud vulnerabilities.
His professional background includes high-impact leadership roles at some of the world’s most prominent technology firms:
- Salesforce: As Director of Security Engineering, he led geographically distributed teams to scale security products across the Salesforce ecosystem and was a key voice in the company’s India security leadership.
- Citrix: Headed Security Engineering and Product Security for Workspace and Endpoint Management platforms.
- Cloudera: Served as Global Head of Product Security & Security Engineering, where he grew the platform security function from the ground up and represented the firm at international data summits.
National and Community Impact
Pandey’s expertise is also rooted in significant public sector service. He spent over seven years at the Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) under the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. In this capacity, he managed security operations and GRC for national e-governance projects, playing a vital role in India’s digital infrastructure security.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Pandey is a recognized leader in the security community. He served as the President & Chair of the (ISC)² Bangalore Chapter, where he spearheaded regional leadership initiatives and collaborated with international security delegations.
