Inetum, an European IT services company has launched Inetum India in partnership with AIONOS, an AI-native technology company through a strategic MoU. The Hyderabad operations of Inetum India will be powered by AIONOS’s proprietary AI enterprise stack, its people, and its delivery IP, walong with a steering committee chaired by CP Gurnani, Co-Founder and VP of AIONOS.
For Inetum, this is not a conventional offshore play. “What we did not want is a simple offshore model,” said Jacques Pommeraud, Chairman and CEO of Inetum. “We wanted a step change — a top-notch capability for IT services talent out of India, from day one, using the best AI has to offer.”
The operation will serve Inetum’s European clients — across financial services, manufacturing, aerospace, consumer goods, and telecommunications — through platforms including SAP, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Microsoft. Public sector work will remain out of scope given European data sovereignty requirements.
While speaking to CIO&Leader on the question of navigating compliance with GDPR, European labour law and DPDPA for India, Pommeraud said, “We will be fully compliant with the laws of both places. Some of our customers will not be eligible for work in Inetum India because of their own legal reasons or preferences. But all customers who are willing and interested will benefit from it in a fully compliant way.”
On the other hand, CP Gurnani shared his perspective on the partnerships and talked about the broader vision for AIONOS. He said, “”Building a technology stack is one part of the equation, but converting it into a market is more challenging. We are pragmatic enough to know that doing it all alone would take us longer. For us, it is an honour that Inetum selected us — they evaluated various options and picked a young company that can scale as per their demands.”
